1. I hate mass market paperbacks.
2. I NEVER lend books.
3. I hate when they publish a book with the movie on the
cover.
4. I would love to publish a book.
5. I haven’t yet read a graphic novel.
6. The cover is a make or break factor when considering purchasing
a book.
7. Even though I’m 20 years old I’m still waiting for my
Hogwarts acceptance letter.
8. I always take the dust jacket off a hardback while
reading it.
9. I’m a
Ravenclaw.
10. I love almost
any book set in World War II.
11. I read all the
Junie B. Jones series growing up.
12. I would love to
work in a library or bookstore for a summer.
13. I love how
hardbacks look but prefer reading paperbacks.
14. I do most of my
reading before bed or between classes.
15. I get very car
sick if I read in a moving vehicle.
16. I usually read
non-fiction or more dense books while on vacation and lighter reads during the
school year.
17. I love audio
books for car rides or bus rides.
18. When I listen
to an audio book the narrator has to sound like the character sounds in my head
otherwise I won’t read it. For example, any Jane Austen novel must be narrated
in a British accent.
19. I read the
Harry Potter series when I was older because since my cousin (who in my child
eyes was practically a grown up but was actually like 12) read Harry Potter I was
convinced that it was a series for adults.
20. Classics really
intimidated me but after reading “To Kill a Mockingbird”(my first classic and
one of my favorite books) I fell in love with the genre.
21. I hate when
people try to police what other people read or how they feel about a book. Ugh!
It drives me crazy. There is nothing worse than having a book snob tell you
that what your reading is a waste of time because it is not a classic.
22. When I was
growing up I would beg my mom to take me to the library and would cry when she
said it was time to go home.
23. I haven’t read
any of the Lord of the Rings books, mainly because they intimidate me soooooo
much.
24. I prefer physical
copies over e-books.
25. “The Book Thief”
absolutely broke my heart. Even though the narrator tells you how it ends in
the first few pages it destroyed me. I was depressed for two weeks after
finishing it.
